A Brighter Alternative with Low Abrasion
Pigments with high abrasion levels can cause excessive wear on printing equipment over time. However, sulfate grades with low abrasion levels typically lack the brightness and consistency of a chloride grade. Until now. Chemours has developed a low abrasion, chloride grade of titanium dioxide that delivers all the above benefits, including:
A brighter and whiter pigment
This grade of TiO₂ allows printing in a broader range of colors and delivers higher opacity and thinner film when formulated to equal whiteness. It also allows for less TiO₂ to be used, enabling cost-savings, when formulated to whiteness and opacity.
Excellent dispersion
The alumina (Al2O3) surface treatment reduces the contact between TiO₂ particles, resulting in excellent dispersion of the pigment.
Innovative production technology
Chemours has developed a processing technology that produces the chloride grade at a low abrasion level, allowing it to be blended at high ratio with other standard ink grades to provide the desired abrasion performance for highly demanding applications.
